About the Salon
The Spot opened in October 2023. All dog breeds and sizes are welcome in the salon! The Spot is an AKC S.A.F.E Certified Grooming Salon. The space is designed to keep your pets safe and provide the best grooming experience possible, while keeping a fun, modern look to the salon! Environment is very important in the grooming process, making a clean, calming, and relaxing space for your pets a top priority. The salon asks that you please remember this experience is not about you, it is about your dog. The animal and their health will always be put first. As for owners, the salon has an open concept so you are able to see and watch your fur babies be groomed. There is a large and comfy waiting area for you, as well as an adorable picture wall so you can show off your freshly groomed cutie! See the sites gallery for pictures! The Spot is owned and operated by Tatum Lundin. The Spot now has a second groomer as well, Robin Lindemann. Get to know them below!
Hello! My name is Tatum Lundin and I’m the proud owner of The Spot! I’ve known I wanted to be a dog groomer since I was very little, and it has always been my dream to open my own shop. After graduating from college with a Business Administration Management degree and minor in Marketing, I moved to Bemidji to start my career. I have family that lives in town and I had fallen in love with the area and its beautiful scenery prior. While working my first job I enrolled in grooming school at Animal Behavior College. Once I finished my schooling I did my externship at another salon here in Bemidji, learning all the hands on skills and eventually earning my certification. I have now been a certified groomer for 3 years and am very excited to start my own place! My dog Darling, a Dalmatian, (seen in the picture above) will be joining me in the salon everyday and will be happy to greet everyone! I am hoping to help ease the demand for grooming in the area and provide you and your pets with a safe, quality, and fun grooming experience! Darling and I hope to see you all soon!

Robin joined The Spot in the spring of 2025. After growing up in the Bemidji area and then moving away, she decided it was time to come back to her roots. Robin has been a certified groomer since 2017. Some of her favorite breeds are Huskies, Boxers, Pomeranians, and Poodles. Being an animal lover, she has multiple pets of her own. She owns 2 dogs, 3 cats, and a leopard gecko! She is excited to meet all the pups in Bemidji!
